January - March Adventures
What motivates us to be out on the road traveling from state to state or city to city? Let's just say that both of us enjoy the spontaneity when we decide to take off and go somewhere, sometimes we don't even know until the day happens.
In the first three months of '24, we have visited Hillsboro, Lynchburg, Waverly, and Piketon in Ohio. We ventured to Wheeling WV and enjoyed being in the company of friends that go back to college years.
It goes without saying that the friendships we have nurtured over the years must start with College. It also goes without saying that our church relationships that now span across all of the US and some abroad, continue to be more than just acquaintances but people of like minds, morals and love for what is pure, holy and right. Truth in who we are and who we belong to - is our commonality and daily challenge.
Last year we enjoyed about 3100 miles of the state of Ohio. It started with an all OHIO SHOP HOP. (AOSH). I collected all kinds of goodies as I personally visited 62 Quilt and specialty shops, all in about a 6 week window of travel. March will close out as a revisit to Amish country and their quilt shops. We ate at a Homestead restaurant in Berlin, visited a quilt shop in Millersburg and enjoyed sunshine across the countryside. Its beautiful in central and
eastern Ohio, and there is a great little antique store in Berlin. I caught Bryant trying out the 1940's wall phone. We inherited one from his father several years ago.
The first quarter of 2024 is already setting the bar high for future travels. We have more to come for the month of April.
