A mirrored reflection of mountains, trees and lights along the shore line make me pause to wonder what reflections can tell us about life. Would the reflection be different as struggles and storms enter our lives. Today, the reflection is almost an exact replica of what you might see in a mirror. The water is still and every tree, cloud and building falls on the face of the lake with exact images. I am reminded of the great creator and his magnificent design.
If there is such a thing as a reflection of my heart it would surely be different than a picture of this pumping vessel. I am positive that the effects of years would show in my picture. Perhaps physically it would appear to have been worn to a frazzle as I have traveled many hard roads that would have affected its strength and power. Yet it would be beautiful because it showed that it was an amazing life, one that left an impact on all who knew it and provided an example of how to live dynamically in the midst of great strife.
As I reflect on the image of my lake view, I can’t help but wonder how all of God’s creation demonstrates dynamic living. Tho’ storms come and go this lake view gives me hope that my image is fully and wonderfully created by God, seasoned by life and protected by his love.
Today, I will enjoy my last day on the lake at Table Rock and be refreshed that once again God helps me understand how great his arms are, as they hold me in this breathtaking and calming lake view. How Great is our God.
