Who remembers the day when strolling to the mailbox was a source of excitement. Maybe you were anticipating a birthday or celebration card of some kind. My most favorite began as early as my childhood and the letters from those summer camp friends. As years have gone by, I find my contact with friends and family is dependent on having their phone numbers and texting. Today I am going to start a tradition …to write letters to friends.
Monday will be my letter writing day. It would be cool to start a trend of writing a letter and enclosing a stamp for the recipient to do the same. We are coming up on winter months where we are more sedentary. Why not add an hour of lettering writing to your week. By the end of 2020 I will have reached 6 people I have not seen in a long time. In 2021, imagine making contact with 52 people using ink on paper and the postal service. Beautiful!
