The ways of old…

Over the years I have been able to teach and train many women the ways of old. Things like knitting,, crochet, sewing and crafting. However, the current times and struggles has brought back the art of preserving and self sustaining preparedness. The art of canning everything from fruits and veggies to meats and meals in a jar.

Many of people are eager to learn the art that goes into being prepared. In recent years we have experienced shortages in our supply chains and now we are seeing the results of inflation affecting costs and availability. It seems the ways of old always make their way back into our society. Especially during hard times!

Yesterday I spent time working on canning Beef, chicken and ground beef. It’s such a satisfying feeling in knowing food is on the shelves for any disaster that would come our way. it’s not a lot but it takes care of our winter months.
